Victoria Day 4 : Mornington Peninsula for the Bathing Boxes

Assalamualaikum. G'Day Mate.

Set GPS & menderu kami pi next destination. Jarak dari Phillip Island to Mornington Peninsular ni dalam 107km. And after nearly 1.5hour on the road, sampai lah kami di Mornington. Thanking KakiBerangan once again for the tip he shared in his blog. We keyed in Mornington Life Saving Club in the GPS as our destination. Alhamdulillah sampai tanpa sesat. Cuma haruslah kena menapak jauh dari tempat kami parking. Tiada specific tempat untuk park kereta pun di sini, pandai-pandai jaklah cari spot. Jangan masuk dalam laut sudah.

Dari jalan besar, actually kena masuk jalan kecil ala berbukit to arrive at the shore. So sila alert. Jangan excited sangat bila nampak colorful huts tu sampai terlepas jalan masuk.

#4 These colored-bathing boxes were no more than a shed; with no water & electricity yet they have been passed down through generations & remain in high demand (google).

#9 Patutnya boxes ni semua lagi menyerlah masa sunset. Tapi memang ndak kan sempatlah kami naik ferry pi Queenscliff kalau mau tunggu sunset bagai. 

#10 Bersyukur sudah sampai walau awan nan sendu yang sambut kami.

#11 Kalau rasa berkenan, bolehlah try tanya-tanya siapa empunya boxes ni. Siapa tau untung-untung owner adalah bujang...gitu kau Bie pok silap.

#12 Di seberang sinun adalah Melbourne city. On a clear day, boleh nampak some of the skyscrapers.

After spending nearly 30 minutes at the beach, it's time to go. So to the jetty we went. Took us approximately an hour to reach the jetty in Sorrento. 

# Ms H & I went up to take our wudhu so Ms G has to stay in the car. Kalau semua naik pun tiada hal sebenarnya. Kecoh kan!

# We can actually go up & lepak upstairs but we chose to just stay in the car (risau kereta kena curi, gah!)

# Sebab mau mencekik dalam kereta, tu yang rela tinggal view lawa-lawa dalam ferry. Ala, dari vehicle parking ni pun boleh view laut sebenarnya.

# Once we reached Queenscliff, first thing we did was to refuel. Buatnya habis minyak di tengah-tengah Great Ocean Road, ndak kan mengundang penyakit lara. Sudah lah semua pun ladies kan. 

# Bertabahlah sampai this infamous gate sudah gelap (around 7pm). Nan hadolah gambar kenangan di gerbang GOR nan popular ini. Cuma mampu ambil gambar dari dalam kereta cuma.

We have to drive for more than an hour from this sign to our accommodation in Port Campbell. Sebab GOR ni memang al-sunyi, masing-masing memang extra aktif bercerita. Ndaklah si Err kebosanan driving sendiri + layan perasaan, kan. Dalam one-two hour driving the GOR, adalah 3-4 kali kami selisih sama kereta lain. The rest, memang kami jaklah atas jalan. Alhamdulillah Allah jaga, nothing happened. And kami selamat sampai hotel albeit sudah gelap gelita.
