CutiCuti: Hong Kong Day 1 - Avenue of Stars

Assalamualaikum. 你好.

As promised, here's the continuation from the two previous parts of my first day in Hong Kong. Kalau bertangguh lagi, tahun depan baru habis aku update pasal Hong Kong ni. And akan pengsan untuk update the upcoming trips pula. Ms G enjoyed giving evil remarks towards my procrastination lately.

Being me, memang refer habis sama signboard. This taken at the Hong Kong underground train station. We headed to Central Station where we boarded the train to Tsim Sha Tsui station. The exits at TST station mostly near the entrance to Chung King mansion. Convenient sungguh stay area TST ni. Semua pun dekat.
Great alternative untuk lari dari panas di luar; and also especially when it rains.
Never once had I saw the station at Tsim Sha Tsui NOT crowded with people. Even it was very early in the morning, area ni memang penuh sama manusia.
ChungKing Mansion yang senantiasa terang...and crowded with different kinds of people. I read few comments in the web complaining about the security here. From my own view, I felt safe throughout my stay here. I believe as long as we mind our own business & not intimidate others; we'll be fine. Memang ada few Nigerians or Pakistanis yang tahan aku, promote 'jam murah' tapi aku politely refused. Diorang pun blah, ndak da pula memaksa or ikut jak aku sampai depan lift.
Nearest exit to Chung King Mansion is Exit E. Akan keluar betul2 depan building. Other exits pun dekat juga but we usually exited from E.
We went back to the hostel after Central, mandi mana & siap sedia for Symphony of Light show at Avenue of Stars. Lucky it was tu just a walking distance from our hostel. Another advantage staying area Kowloon ni.
We entered the waterfront area via Salisbury Garden & greeted by the replica of the statuette given to winners at the Hong Kong Film Awards.
The light show had just started as we arrived. Memang meriah; and sangat sangat crowded since it was weekend. Lip lap lip lap bangunan di sebelah Hong Kong island. Masa ni lah nampak segala macam bentuk skyscrapers di Hong Kong.

The show that starts at 8p lasted for 15minutes. Unfortunately, the broadcast of the soundtrack was narrated in Cantonese. Should we come on Monday, we'll be able to understand because it's in English. Worries not, light show tu pun sudah cukup buat aku wow baaaanyak kali. Dancing lights!
This night spectacle show is best viewed along the Tsim Sha Tsui Avenue of Stars waterfront. It is a free public enjoyment therefore no admission ticket is required. Bila tengok semua gambar of the light show, perasaan mau duku kepala sendiri sangat tinggi. Why ouh why did I left the bulky Blackie back home?! Apa guna ada dslr tapi malas menghangkut Bie oii! Bagus bagi jerung makan, sekian.
Artis kecundang...ndak dapat beraksi depan real camera, sculpture pun jadilah kan Bunda.
For once di Hong Kong, aku bangga jadi Malaysian. Motif sangat!
Hero ku...dulu, kini & selamanya. I grew up watching most of the films he starred at. Dulu selalu verangan mau kahwin lelaki muka macam si Leon Lai. I Wanted to Date tau!
Before the famous martial art & movie star bronze sculpture; Bruce Lee. Kesian dalam pagar Encik Bruce kita. Sedang aku trip berposing suddenly a Korean tourist requested to take picture with me. Glowing gila muka masa dia bagitau aku mau ambil gambar together. Eh? Up till now aku still question motif Agassi ni.
Light-man Xiōng. I super love the night view. The colourful lighted buildings across the river were very beautiful. And the water was so calm...but it went crazy the next day. Itu cerita next entry lah kan.
Modelled on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, this avenue honours the celebrities of the Hong Kong film industry. It is located along the Victoria Harbour waterfront.
Kami berjalan sampai ke hujung. Climbed the stairs & crossed Salisbury Road via the footbridge.
Jalan punya jalan, arrived at the Signal Hill Garden. I thought Signal Hill ada di Likas jak. Ada children playground di sini. Kawasan ni sangat terang. Buildings kiri kanan depan belakang semua bercahaya. Lots of children were at the playground; spending quality evening time with their parents I reckoned.
Back to the hostel...operasi isi perut. Luckily I managed to grabbed this super comel travel rice cooker in Groupon. Sangat berguna! We brought foods from Malaysia as to save the budget.
Our first dinner in Hong Kong; nasi himpit & Brahim's ayam masak cili padi that rather taste like curry. Zillionth thanks to Bunda who shopped for our bekalan while I was in South Korea. I don't know why, tapi makan sebiji nasi himpit tu pun kenyang.
Yeay! Habis juga akhirnya entry Hong Kong Day 1 aku. Will scribble about Day 2 adventure later. Insha Allah.

Literally was a bit crazy masa tu. Berani mati beli tiket, only because xnak boring cuti lama.

View was amazing. The crowd malam tu made it more fantastic. Best. Charge fon nak dekat 1malam baru batt full. Ada kaitan ke. Hahaha.
