Initially, I booked for the standard room. But the management decided to upgrade my room due to the miscommunication occurred earlier that day. The hotel driver was supposed to pick me up at Serasa Ferry Terminal (Muara) but there was no one at the terminal when we arrived. As it was already getting dark, I decided to take the taxi instead.

I talked to the management when I arrived at the hotel. Since I've spent $40 for the taxi fare, I asked for refund from them. But due to hotel policy, they couldn't pay cash to guest. So they offered to upgrade my room as compensation. Nothing else I could do but to just accept the offer. Paying the price of a standard room but get to stay in a Junior Suite

This was rather an impromptu stay for me. As I missed to board the ferry back to Labuan FT that evening, I have no choice but to extend my stay in Bandar Seri Begawan. Much to my surprise, the receptionist told me I could stay at the standard room & I was eligible for a 50% discount. Alhamdulillah! Truly is my rezeki! So instead of paying $80, I paid $40 only.
