Solo Adventure: Part 16 - Stonehenge

Fuh!! It feels like ages! Gila lama rest dari update pasal Solo Adventure. Memang pemenang Tukang Tangguh paling tegar kalau kau kan, Bie. Ok back to main point!

Stonehenge was not in my list to go in the first place...yet considering it's already in the day-trip package, bantai jaklah. Alang2 sudah sampai Europe, jejaklah kaki. Bukan tau bila lagi boleh pigi, kan? Knowing me, soon after I bought the ticket I browse the internet to get to know more about this prehistoric monument. Biarlah ndak minat ka apa, mesti datang with a little bit of excited anticipation. Ndak mau lah bila sampai sana, tinguk batu batan tu...klik kluk camera, then blah. I was told one hour is given to us to enjoyed Stonehenge. Perlu kot guna sejam tu menikmati scenery & lagi best kalau tau serba sikit beforehand.

A little bit of intro, Stonehenge is situated around 90 miles west from Central London. Journey from Bath took nearly an hour. Or more?! Sorry gue ketiduran so ndak berapa perasan masa yang berjalan. Stonehenge was built by the Neolithic people about 4.5 thousand years ago! The actual year differ in every handful books about Stonehenge. With the establishment of this structure, it is said that people acted as a community for the first time during Neolithic era. The first structure built were the burial mounds dotting the landscape all over Stonehenge.

Parking area is situated across the site. Kena limpas designated underground route to reach the site. It took me less than 10 minutes of walking from the parking lot to the site. Ouh before tu lepak kejap while waiting for Mr Omar to get our entrance tickets. Ada turnstile at the entrance gate...and before proceeding to Stonehenge, sila jangan lupa collect audio guide anda ya.

Out from the underground passage, terus jak nampak gambar ni. The original site. Sebelum runtuhan, sebelum vandalism, sebelum segala2. Beribu tahun sudah kan, mestilah banyak perubahan to the original structure. Within the circular ditch & bank enclosing the area is where various ceremonies took place.
View from the main gate before entering the site. Sayup2 nampak barisan orang tu kan.
The monument is being roped off by a low barrier, the closest one can get to the stones is about 10 yards. If u wanna walk up to & among the stones, u can always join the Special Access tour. Visits are outside public opening hours. It's a one hour duration visit; with only 26 people allowed onto Stonehenge. Yang ni kalau mau join, sila lah sila book in advance. Selalu orang book months before their trip.

And one who immensely enjoyed sunset would definitely not miss to visit Stonehenge during the Summer Solstice. For this visit, according to Mr Omar...memang kena ikut proper tour. Considered as a sacred place, there will be celebrations & ceremonies held during the solstice.

Note the rope. Pemisah antara aku & batu! Itulah jarak paling dekat aku boleh menghayati monumen batu batan tu semua.
Lucky enough camera boleh zoom.
From a different view. Yang ni half round sudah aku tawaf.
Last view before leaving the site. Alhamdulillah, weather sangat cerah. Cantik jak pemandangan kiri kanan sepanjang perjalanan aku hari tu.

The tour ended at Victoria Station. I hopped off the bus & took the underground tube to Green Park (Victoria Line). Pesanan cousin separa terchenta harus ditunai. Classic Hard Rock tshirt kunun! Tiada esok untuk ku as my flight back to Malaysia is at 12p the next day. Lagipun dunia masih terang benderang...although it was already 8p. Jadi apa sangat mau menyinggah.
Nasib lah premis ni super dekat to the underground station. Less than 5 minutes walking. But I took a bit longer sebab aku jalan super lenggang, menghayati lagi view kiri kanan. Alkisah niat mau lepak Hyde Park tapi aku ingat banyak lagi barang belum packing di hostel hence niat dibatalkan.
Environmental friendly hotel.
I am totally in awe lah!!

Dari HRC, aku ambil tube balik King Cross. Kalau naik double decker alamat memang ntah sampai mana aku sesat. Ndak sempat study bus route dorang prior the trip, jadi harus aku ndak sanggup take the risk. Macam biasa, aku trip tourist. Dalam kedinginan petang, angin super chilling tampar pipi...aku gagahkan kaki berjalan balik hostel.
Pastu singgah cafe depan hostel, beli pizza super yummy for dinner. Last aku mencekik; blueberry cheese cake dari Windsor to Bath pagi tu ah. Sila imagine perut aku nyanyi keroncong dangdut paling off-tune! Memang pelahap tegar. I requested for extra cheese...double extra to be exact. And maybe muka aku memang menunjukkan kelaparan gaban, the owner charge me zero for the additional cheese! FOC extra cheese bebeh!!! Mau ndak aku senyum lebar. Habis bah terus semua aku baham, malam tu juga! Slice by slice aku telan while packing my stuffs. 2 in 1 kerja aku buat; memang superb lah Bie! Bangga?!

I spent my last night in London chitchatting with my dorm mates. Two Australian girls arrived late in the evening, 'replacing' the Italian & Canadian girls who checked out that afternoon. And two Korean girls arrived not long after. Berbunga gembira hati aku dengar diorang berbahasa Korea di situ ah! Over! Diorang bawa lepak di cafe hostel...tapi aku kena tidur awal sebab esok harus bangun awal supaya ndak haru ketinggalan flight. Pas chitchat lebih kurang, the four girls left the room. Tinggal lah aku sendiri as the other dorm mates had long sailed to dreamland.

Perut kenyang, packing done...maka aku pun join belayar. Esoknya balik Malaysia, aduh ndak sangka 2 weeks has it been since I arrived London.

Edisi: Aidiladha

Assalamualaikum.

Aidiladha datang lagi. Alhamdulillah.

Edisi: YangNdakSempat!

Assalamualaikum. Annyeong.

Lately, hati gatal gila macam mau digaru2 to explore South Korea land once more! I missed the promotion that AA did last month. Dayyum! Feel like banging my head on the wall when I saw the expensive fare.

My first trip to South Korea early this year didn't quite satisfy me. Although I did enjoyed myself because it's my first ladies trip...masih ada lohong dalam dada. Four days exploring the city definitely not enoughlah kan. Too many must-go places tertinggal. Nama pun first time, schedule pun Lisa yang buat. Aku tau beli flight ticket jak. Kerja lain memang entirely depends on her. Pastu bingai sendiri sebab ndak buat research of places yang patut taruk dalam list.

I guess those places I didn't get to visit at that time could be the solid reason for my intention to repeat the trip! Kali ni with the Sabahan ladies. Insya Allah, if things went as planned...akan ku jejak sekali lagi.

And now, we're hoping AA will be generous to held another promotion. Memang zoom beli kalau dapat murah. No hesitation lagi macam hari tu. Kunun return RM800 mahal, sekali in the end dapat yang dekat RM1k++++. Terlampau banyak songeh baru padan muka!

Anyways, to fulfill some of Ms. G's curiosity...here are few snippets of the places we're gonna visit. Yang memang obviously aku pun belum jejak!

Cheonggyecheon Stream. Ernie told me about this stream before but I didn't bother to google about it. Ingatkan only wujud at one place; rupanya panjang 5.84km ah. At my first night there, I went out to the midnight market at Dongdaemun. Passed by one of the bridges...siap posing ambil gambar. Yet I have no idea that is the stream. Sekianlah kan perangai. Campak lombong.
Cheonggye Plaza. Hari tu cuma nampak masa on the way balik to the airport. Sayup2 jak kelihatan sebab bus on the move kan.
Rainbow Fountain Banpo Bridge. I have yet to figure out the exact direction to reach this bridge. The rainbow fountain could only be enjoyed in the evening. Jadi harus sampai bridge tu after Maghrib.
Seharian jalan jauh, lepas dinner at one of the Turkish restaurant...semua jadi sleepy. Memang automatik ndak sanggup menapak daki bukit lagi because this mosque situated nun di atas sana. Silently I told myself, next time jejak sini mesti singgah masjid ni! Solat sekali ah Bie, bukan kau trip bergambar depan masjid jak!
Yangpyeong English Village. Fuh, by just looking at the picture above pun orang boleh teka kot kenapa aku beria mau pigi village ni. Biarlah journey berjam2 to reach this place...janji dapat tengok classroom JiHoo sunbae! Also few spots where Boys over Flower was filmed.
Asia's larget underground mall. Biar shopping bukan main agenda tapi ndak salah bah meronda 'beli tingkap'. Bukan selalu!

Alang2 sudah sampai COEX better singgah muzium ni. Situated inside the mall, no problem kot mau singgah masuk. Lagipun mesti best dapat belajar sejarah favorite junk food aku ni. Favorite sangat walhal mula tau pasal kimchi pun since gila sama Kdrama!! Choi!
Gyeongbokgung Palace. The main & largest palace of the five grand palaces in South Korea. Hari tu memang ndak sempat langsung mau jejak to any of the palaces there. Kunun balik dari Nami Island mau lah singgah. Yet, bukan rezeki lagi untuk melawat masa tu. Another reason to repeat, yes?! Currently there are two palaces in my list, ndak tau nanti bertambah ka ndak time di sana. Last minute modification of itinerary...something to be expected kalau travel in group.
This cafe is located somewhere in Apgujeong area. Since area tu selalu crowded sama socialites, aku bajet mesti koyak poket kan kalau bertrip mau shopping or makan sana. Korbanlah sikit kWon demi memuaskan hati si Err untuk jejak this shop. Padahal memang ada sebab super utuh mau datang! Mesti datang! Biar ndak nampak Kyuhyun-ssi janji dapat masuk cafe yang related to him. P to the Yo!
*clearing throat* Paling mau pigi...KBS & MBC buildings. Manalah tau nasib super baik & cerah terjumpa OppaS terchenta. Pingsanlah kan kalau tiba2 yang dinanti berjalan depan mata. Fuh, tarik nafas ndak mau hembus weii!

Edisi: μΆ•ν•˜ ν•΄μš”

Assalamualaikum. Annyeong.

It’s been a while since I last posted an entry here. Tu dia poyo sudah mari! The last post showed too much of my psycho side. Ignore.

Two very beautiful things occurred in my life last week; a wedding (Daia's) & a newborn (Kizzy's little bundle of joy). Both news came from my close girlfriends whom I have known for 17 great years. Alhamdulillah. Chugha Haeyo!

The wedding bell rang last Saturday. Indicating that Daia is now officially a wife. Alhamdulillah. Nan jeongmal haengbog haeyo!

This bed...sudah kami rasmi before the nikah. Ngek~~
Creative door decoration. Super like the colors combination.
Few hours before saying goodbye to her singlehood.
What sisters are for!
Pantang nampak camera kan. Orang nervous pun sibuk join camwhoring.
"Aku terima nikahnya...."
Dup dap dada seorang peranten.
Officially husband & wife! Chughahae!

I was there witnessing the nikah at Daia’s place together with the other YS ladies; Ell, Yam & Zai.

Since Daia & husband both live in KK, the reception was held for both sides the next day at WismaWanit*a. All family members & friends of the bride & groom were invited for one reception. Jimat masa, senang & simple. Less headache kalau mau arrange sampai 2 receptions.

Perangai...! Before entering the dewan to greet the newly wed...sempat singgah photo booth bergambar sakan. Macam semua props mau diguna!
Lepas gian bergambar...baru sedar diri. Entered the hall & walked straight to the beautiful decorated pinky dais. Sesi bergambar with the newlywed. Semua behave atas pelamin sebab takut roboh kalau hyper berabis. Fuh, 17 years has it been...and the friendship remain intact up to this moment. Syukran Allah for granting these beautiful souls in my life. Ok sila simpan emotional ride di rumah Bie!
Sesi baling bunga untuk single ladies...whoever managed to catch the bouquet will be the next to get married. Si Err refused to join sebab trip lambat lagi mau kahwin. Hampagas!

Pink dais! Very cute. Very simple. Very sweet. Sebab pink jadi semua pun dipuji bah. Well, aku kan.
Daia & I share the same devotion for anything related to Hanguk. Hence, the cute love pose is a must-have in the album. Sayang sekali pose famous Saranghaeyo ndak da dalam simpanan aku. Cameraman busuk hati ndak mau snap guna handphone cikai ku. Lain kali tinggal lagi camera betul ah Bie.

Anyways, heartiest congratulations to u both! Bercinta hingga ke Jannah, insya Allah.

On another note. Kizzy was admitted last Saturday, it explained why she wasn't there with us at Daia's nikah. Early this week, she texted me late in the evening. Informing that she has been having contraction since afternoon. Selang 30minit.
At 130p...on the 9th of October; little adorable Icha was born. The apple of Kizzy's eyes. Sihat, cukup sifat! Alhamdulillah. Semua pun memang ndak sabar tunggu dia bersalin ah sebab minah Buyung ni sudah pot pet ndak kesabaran mau deliver. Sempat aku tayang her texts to me in my instag acc. Ur mom really couldn't wait to meet u darling Icha!

At Hospital Likas, tag untuk baby...adalah pink. Yay!
Also 'uniform' for the mommies. Memang favourite color aku sangat disukai ramai. Sekian.
Caught in actions. Kizzy share cerita pahit manis bertarung nyawa the process to deliver Icha. While Manja, sibuk snapped gambar baby. Not a new scene perhaps because she underwent the same process a year earlier than Kizzy.
With Mama. Cute little pie!! Geram! With Bapa.
And the sisters yang memang penyibuk excited selalu. Ndak sabar2 mau jumpa Icha...and of course, the new mama. We visited them both; few hours after Icha's arrival! New addition in the family kan, harus happy terlebih untuk jumpa anak buah baru!

Babe, congrats on ur newborn. Moga Icha jadi anak solehah, penyuluh kau & husband di syurga nanti.
