Buang Tabiat: Verangan

Assalamualaikum. Annyeong.

Images courtesy of here.
Located in Takinoue Town; 2 hours away from Asahikawa, Hokkaido.
This park is easy to reach. Lots of guided tour available, as well. Best time to visit is suggested in mid May; in which during the Pink Moss Festival is held.

I dream of the pink moss park ever since Ms M told me about its existence. This is one of the place she wished to go...and somehow, has become my wish place too.

We're planning to visit the Land of The Rising Sun; spring next year. Can't say more about the upcoming plan with the girlfriends & boyfriends since we haven't purchase any flight ticket yet. Once the ticket part settled...immediately akan masuk gear 5 untuk rangka itenerary. Insha Allah, amin!

p/s Before that; next station will be to one of my most favorite country. Rangka jadual cuti sendiri adalah sangat puas hati & mencabangkan lebih banyak bunga2 chenta. Ngek.

Buang Tabiat: Post-weekend Mood!

Assalamualaikum. Annyeong.

I'm having the weekend rest deficiency syndrome at this current moment!!! I didn't get my most deserved rest this time hence the drama. Last Sat, I went to bed at 230a. Woke up way too early the next morning; that's yesterday. I was supposed to wake up another couple of hours but Angah piercing voice invaded my calm Sunday morning. Membebel non stop...ugh!

Yeah, Angah is in town. Pakcik & the not-so-little cousin tagged along this time. Surprise arrival kunun! She's here to settle matters regarding the house renovation in Telipok.  It's been a year since the renovation took place...yet, only 80% of the work has completed to date. The amount of money spent could be used to build another single-storey house. That's how lousy the contractors who have been appointed did their work. Tiga kali tukar sebab semua buat kerja macam ayam mati. Duit mau, kerja nan ado.

Fine, tujuan entri adalah untuk curhat ketidakselesaan diri. Oh God, how I long for the weekend to arrived early! 빨리와주세요! Friday will be a public holiday for Sabahan! Oh yeah, early weekend for yours truly. I think I need to do something with myself. Pembersihan jiwa. Sebab selalu rasa gelisah ndak tentu arah.

Monday blues caught me good this time. Tried hard to balance my fluctuating mood. Two of the workers didn't show up adding more stress to the already not so great mood. Or perhaps menses coming soon hence the unstable me. Hmm.

CutiCuti: Bye Johor until next time!

Assalamualaikum. Annyeong.

It's been excessively hot these past few days. Since last week. I can't bear the heat sometimes I stayed in the office right after Zuhr' prayer. The fan at each gerai at the cafe didn't help much. Alhamdulillah, after days of whining about the sweltering weather Allah let the rain pour yesterday evening. Continued until late last night.

Anyways, I've been meaning to update about my last day in Johor. My first getaway in 2013. Insha Allah, many to come later. But I was too exhausted after coming back from work. Poyo. This morning I managed to find my time to update; fortunately.

Ms. A left for Kolumpur by bus early in the morning. So there were only Bunda & I left in the room. We purposely woke up a bit late for I didn't plan any activity to do that day. I don't know but honestly, there's nothing in my itinerary related to exploring Johor except for JPO.
Had lunch at the restaurant located on the first of floor of the hotel's building. I forgot the name but it has got something to do with Le Safron I think. Bunda spent her time at this restaurant the night before; watching the last episode of Janji Shirah. A TV3 drama she followed from the start. Never missed a single episode of it. And we were forced to accompany her!

Tersengguklah dua-tiga kali di sana. Ngantuk. To make us stay, Bunda let forced us to order drinks & snacks. For God sake, we were already full due to the heavy dinner hours before that. I even had to visit the loo right after we came back from Spice7. Overloaded!
Paid RM15 nett for the breakfast buffet. The menu: Nasi Lemak, Fried Mee/Mee Hoon, Chicken Curry *which I think was reheat from last night menu*, orange juice, guava juice & hot drinks (coffee, tea). Bunda said ignore the price immediately after I frowned upon seeing the menu served.

"Last night, the waiter was so nice to me. He allowed me to watch the drama. So today we give back what we received. Breakfast on me".

Fine. Captain voiced out her arahan, I don't think I was able to disobey. Furthermore, memang kau cari penyakitlah kalau mau menapak cari kedai makan lain dengan perut kosong nyanyi dangdut kan Bie.
To justify the RM15...I decided to consume everything served. First, nasi lemak. Followed by the fried mee. And later the fried mee hoon. Perut tembolok gajah ntah mana aku simpan semua makanan tu. No wonder I gained few kilos after coming back from the holiday. Selalu berazam, makan berpada2 time bercutian. But so far memang fail ke laut. Right to the drain the resolution went.

Because it's still early, I suggested that we should go for some sightseeing around the city. I took a brochure at the hotel's reception. Stating places of interest to visit in Johor Bahru. I opted for the mosque & palace before proceeding to City Square Mall.
Took the taxi from the hotel to Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque.  The appearance took over the English Victorian architecture; with some minor Malay influence. The mosque situated on a hill overlooking the Straits of Johor. This mosque got its name after the Sultan Abu Bakar; who ordered the construction. Nothing much to see here. It's an old mosque currently undergoing some major reconstruction.
Classic window. Very the feel dulu2.

The ablution area located opposite the entrance.
Belakang masjid ada ciri moden di situ. Yang ni memang confirm baru jak recently built. Buat majlis resepi kahwin area macam ni pun best...luas & open. Hoi stop verangan please!

After the mosque, we walked to the palace. According to the taxi driver who drove us from the hotel, the palace is just a walking distance from the mosque. And since khidmat superwalkertapaki memang sudah biasa aku applied, jarak 1km tu macam petik jari. Riak? Bunda agreed to walk as well. Jalan punya jalan; dengan cuaca mendung angin nan ado bertiup...jalanraya bersebelah selat hence muka jadi cepat melekit...sekali sampai tepi palace; ada big signboard

"No Entry. Men at work".

Memang paling hangat asrama Bunda punya jelingan. After walking for merely 2km! Nasiblah si bulky Blackie ndak ku hangkut sekali masa tu. Nico was in Bunda's bag jadi memang ndak da aktiviti snap sambil berwalkertapaki. Mau juga aku snap muka istana yang tutup due to construction work tu tapi peluh jantan telah mengalir aku serius penat gaban. Apalah pakcik teksi tu langsung ndak tau palace tu tutup!! Since Bunda started complaining about her sore foot, we decided to just take a taxi in front of Johor Bahru Post Office to City Square Mall.
Right after we alighted from the taxi, perut terus berteriak mau makan di Ayam Penyet Ria. Ha ndak gila ayat orang tembolok. Habis sudah semua breakfast aku bertukar tenaga; guna masa walkertapaki tu. Jadi perlulah isi tenaga kembali.
Favorita! Lele @ ikan keli Penyet!! It wasn't easy to find ikan keli in KK. Kalau ada pun, saiz cinonet. Besar lagi tapak tangan aku. Memang makan ndak da ampun ever since we arrived Johor Bahru. Tolak pasir batu jak aku ndak telan. Mulut munching non-stop.
Tegar sungguh impian untuk pigi mall ni for the second time. Semua gara2 these Korean shops lah! Bought few things at NR corner. The prices are slightly cheaper in the West compare to Sabah.

After City Square, we went to the opposite building. The newly built Johor Bahru Sentral. It is link to the CIQ Immigration. Convenient enough for those staying in Johor Bahru & intended to visit Singapore at the same time. From CIQ boleh naik CW1 bus to Woodland. We didn't spend much time there, tengok kedai apa yang ada. Nama pun baru so ndak da sangat yang menarik jiwa. We then went back to Tune Hotel by taxi. Lepas solat & touch up bagai...off we departed for the airport.
Senai International Airport; the Air Asia drop luggage counter. As we arrived 2 hours early than the departure time, aktiviti isi perut bermula sekali lagi. Masa ni malas sudah mau bergambar bagai. I bought a slice of blueberry cheese cake from SR for tea. Tapi hangkut masuk food court sebab Bunda menjamu laksa di situ. Speaking of "eat like I care about the weight scale".

Masuk boarding area...sayup jauh di luar tingkap aku nampak awan hitam berkupal2 datang. I told Bunda our flight definitely going to be delayed due to the weather. And not long after, announcement was made. Memang delay sebab kapal dari KK pun ndak dapat take off. Strong wind.

After the incident flying with easyJet from Schipol to London, aku memang ndak ambil port part berkeluh kesah kalau flight delayed disebabkan cuaca. Biarlah sampai berjam lambat janji aku ndak naik roller coaster di atas sana. Ngeri ok! Daratan langsung ndak dinampak, tapi kapal naik turun. Most valuable experience ever! Three bored-hours waiting; we finally boarded the plane. Arrived KK town ten minutes past midnight. No turbulence whatsoever...landing sangat smooth. Alhamdulillah, aku tidur super lena during the two hours flight.

Standing proudly before the handsome Bee! Kenangan terindah di USS.

My trip to Johor Bahru & Singapore came to its end; finally. Too many sweet & bitter memories created during this getaway. Nonetheless, I cherished them to the utmost. Praying for more trip with Bunda.

Ouh, the ticker indicates another three months to go! Ngeh. Sila stop segala aktiviti online shopping Bie...focus in saving. Two trips in three months time! Memang melampau.

Prosperous Mac: My HotaHei!

Assalamualaikum. Annyeong.

Alhamdulillah. My multicolor HotaHei has arrived yesterday afternoon. Such a beautiful deary she is! Perfect way to cheer me up after sweating half day at the cafe. Drama enough? Let me be!

Perfecto! Just like how I imagined her to be. Multicolour is so gonna be my choice this year. Bunda loves it too. Her eyes sparkles when I showed her the multi-pink bag I've ordered for her. But in the end she said:

"If it worth more than RM500...let go. Use the money & bring me jalan2 instead."

Amboi...penyakit berjalan si anak bertuah sudah terjangkitkah? Nice Bunda...macam tau jak, u're my ultimate favourite travel buddy!

The label inside the bag, should be an identification number with No- followed with four numbers after the dash. Coach stamp should be neatly printed & in English. Fuh!! Gigih google how to differentiate between the genuine & fake one. Ngek! Nampak sangat first time beli handbag ada2. Kin malu.

Manalah tau; sometimes ada e-shop applied kaedah menipu secara halus. Alhamdulillah, Eat Sleep Shop (here) has earned my trust! They responded quite fast to my order. And they shipped my HotaHei a day after I settled the payment. Definitely gonna keep my eyes on this e-shop in the future. Erk?? Bukan kau cakap no more after the Bunda's kah Bie? Sila lah sila telan cakap sendiri ah after this.

Me: If mau tau it's fake or not...tengok tu zip. If it's YKK, then itu memang 100% original.
Bunda: Memanglah. My Bonia bags semua pun zip YKK.

See?? Kesian kan sama diri sendiri!!! Action kunun depan Bunda...sekali pulang paku buah keras. *kaitan?* Ada hati tembirang sana sekali Bunda knows MORE than u lah, young lass!!!

Buang Tabiat: Not a disease...YET!

Assalamualaikum. Annyeong.

Lately...otak bingai. Huh!
Mata berdarah. This is the kind of pink I couldn't resist. Simple design that makes me sleepless for nights! Thinking...contemplating...comparing the pros & cons. Drama sungguh poyo!

The new trend I supposed. Multi colour fabric. I immediately fell in love with it when Ms M sent me a picture of a Hobo bag of the same brand. Roughly similar pattern & colour; only size is different.

For the record, I was never a fan to designer bag before...and never thought I would buy one for myself. Although it's not as expensive as LV or Prada...but; still! Before ni, beli Guess or Elle or CarloR pun sudah rasa super mahal ok! When it comes to handbag thingy; I am that stingy. And calculative! Enough said.

I'm not quite sure what 2013 has done to my hormone. Just that I pray hard I won't be in the same league as Ms M & Ms. F. The ultimate 'crazy' handbag addicts. I shall put the blame on their shoulders for it was them who spread the disease to the innocent me. Kaedah lari dari rasa guilty; maka harus blame orang lain.

Looking for a crossbody bag for quite sometimes already...and ended up purchasing something I never thought I would splurge my money onto. Once in a while is alright; I told myself in order to justify the impulsive purchase.

Penat kerja kumpul duit apa salahnya pamper diri. Kunun!! Jadi alasan kau short getaway bagai untuk unwind after kerja keras tu apa? Treeetettttt! Ok sila doa seteguh hati jangan jadi addict Bie!!!

Prosperous Mac: Dinner Date

Assalamualaikum. Annyeong.

Ok let's skip the JB-Singapore trip entry. Another entry to conclude the trip. Poyo.

My Seoul Ladies Trip 2012 photobook album arrived days before the weekend getaway. Perfect way to tune my mood prior the holiday. As usual, hasil PhotoBook Malaysia never disappoint me. Cakap melangit padahal baru beli dua biji photobook dari sana. Tu pun atas ehsan mydeal.com yang buat offer.
Gigih gila aku edit & fikir idea for the layouts. Refused to used the ready-made layout available in the website; downloadable lagi. Kunun tripping creative...luckily aku buat ni masa semester break. More time to squeeze the brain untuk cari idea. Sekali ndak perasan stamp di postcard on the album cover; stamp Britain. Aduyai!

Grateful indeed!
One of the many unforgettable moments in my life. My first ladies trip in my thirty years of living. Praying for more to come in the future. Ouh woot! Seoul, Juni aku datang lagi.

Another ladies trip gitu; this time aku trip jadi guide. Hanguk baru berpatah2 boleh kau converse Bie...ada hati jadi guide oii. That we will see whether the trip menjadi or ndak. Trial & error lah kan, kalau ndak try bila lagi tau setakat mana kemampuan diri sendiri. Gitu?

*********************************************************************************
On another story; I had dinner with the friends last Sat evening. This time poyo dinner di G Cafe, Gaya Hotel. Nasiblah Groupon ada offer voucher murah. It was a weekend steamboat buffet dinner. For the seven of us, we only paid less than RM200! Berbaloi2. Food was great; expect apa kan kalau harga murah macam tu. Downside was the choice of drink. Included in the voucher hanyalah plain water. Not even sirap provided tau. If mau order juice or soft/hot drink; sila bayar extra.

Memang pesta makan. After a week consuming only breads & buns; it was time for me to revenge. ChEAT Day! Ndak kan seksa perut jak kerja, consume itu ndak boleh...consume ini ndak boleh. Karang perut merajuk, datang pula lawatan si Gastrik.
My beloved niece & nephew. Emma (L) & Nathan (R).
Dedicated dads. While the mommies busy steamboat-ing, they took care of the anak2
Steamboat-ing & camwhoring must synchronize. No? Janji makanan semua sudah siap campak2. Loving ur baby-T lah Ms G! So pink-ish & so Bugis bau dia. Hahaha.
Emma Grace with Yours Truly. Pinjam anak orang perkara biasa jak kalau aku.
Ahli majlis minus Emma's parents. Once in a while; we gathered to unwind the stress at work. Sambil makan, jamu perut...lepak2...chitchat berita terkini. Including the recent Sulu invasion here in Sabah.

My deepest condolence to the family who lost their family members in the battle. Rest in peace to those National Heroes who died protecting this country. Jasa anda dikenang sampai bila2. Terima kasih!

CutiCuti: Singapore Day 2 - Sultan Mosque, Bugis Street & Merlion Park

Assalamualaikum. Annyeong.

Our second day in Singapore...also the last day before we departed for Johor that evening. The night before, Bunda told us to check out at 10a because she needed more time to rest. So we resumed our sweet dream after Subuh prayer. And woke up nearly 9a. Gedebuk gedebak; we check-out from the hotel half past 10a. Thirty minutes off-schedule. Kunun!

Hailed a taxi near the hotel to Muscat Street. Or if the taxi driver doesn't know where it is; just mention Sultan Mosque. Make sure the driver used the fare meter. But worry not lah, in Singapore semua taxi memang jujur dengan meter.
Main reason to go there...mencemar tekak di Restoran Makan Minang; situated just next to the Sultan Mosque. This corner restaurant is quite famous among tourist for their delicious Minang (Indonesian) food. A friend of mine recommended this place & were told to give it's well-known nasi lemak a try. Alas, we came late. A group of twenty people came earlier than us; borong habis nasi lemak di situ.
Alang2 sampai, harus mencemar tekak. The dishes for lunch sudah terhidang; all look scrumptious. Laju jak perut aku berkeriut. Macam mau aku baham semua.

Sultan Mosque situated across this restaurant. Makan dengan penuh selera...facing this view. So peaceful.

Singapore is really a clean city. Even the mosque's ablution-toilet area is super clean. And dry! Aku masuk tanpa rasa geli; unlike most of the mosque's toilets back home. Harus aku berjungkit, jari geli2.

Singapore Zam Zam famous for their murtabak spotted at the North Bridge. Turn left from here to Bugis Street.
Walked to the infamous Bugis Street. It was merely 5 minutes walking from the restaurant.
It's been my wish to take & have this picture...selalu tengok gambar orang jak, aku pun harus mau ada simpanan sendiri kan.
I don't really fancy the idea to shop till I drop during any of my trips...but I have to admit, it was quite a regret for this trip. With not much $ in hands; I could only cuci mata along the alleys. Managed to grabbed some souvenirs for cousins & friends. Nothing for myself! Boohoo.
Bugis Junction; currently undergoing renovation at some area situated opposite Bugis Street. We took the train to Raffles Place from Bugis.
Out from the train in Raffles Place station, we followed the signboard heading to Six Battery Road. Where we took a short walk to Merlion Park! Mesti singgah sini kalau datang Singapore. Landmark paling represent the country.
From Raffles Place station to Merlion Park
1. Follow the Battery Road sign on the road.
2. Make sure the Bank of China building is on ur left side. U could see the Singapore river further ahead.
3. The Fullerton hotel opposite the Bank of China.
4. Walk ahead & take the stair down on ur left when u see this signboard.
Travelator for the underpass path. Convenience enough. It's air-conditioned too.
Less than 5 minutes of walking underground...tadaaaaaaa! Terkedu sebentar sebab ndak sangka sampai! Finally, sudah print tapak kaki di Merlion Park.
After sixteen years, I'm back. Overlooking the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Art Science Museum & Esplanade Theatres.

Mother-Daughter sun-burning ourselves for the sake of Merlion Park. Poyo gila.
Before heading to Orchard Road, we went to the place behind Fullerton hotel. Singapore river.
Cavenagh Bridge

Super cute cats' statues near the bridge. Kena cari significant between cats & the bridge. Ouh, immediately rindu the Children back home.
Ahli rombongan. Before we left for Orchard.

We stopped at Orchard Road from Raffles Place. Cari kedai makan di Foodcourt, ION tapi semua ndak memenuhi citarasa. Walked to Wisma Atria; masih ndak da berkenan. Masa tu aku memang sumpah seranah diri sendiri. Apahal lupa yang Ayam Penyet Ria tu di Lucky Plaza. I tried to recall the location of the restaurant but to no avail. Panas & berpeluh itik memang faktor utama kotak memori aku super lembabs that day.

We were supposed to walk around Chinatown; cuci mata. Tapi ahli lain sudah ndak larat berjalan. Masing2 mengangkut backpack super berat. And aku hampa! Ndak pa, next time aku explore sendiri; I slowly calmed myself.
Hence we decided to proceed to Kranji station instead. Mentekedarah di Johor jaklah. From Kranji, we took the Causeway Link-CW1 bus to Larkin Terminal, Johor.

**For the public transportation; the bus won't wait for u at each immigration buildings. But u can ride any CW1 bus from the parking bay provided u keep the bus ticket. No ticket means u have to pay once more**

Luckily for us, traffic was smooth. We arrived Larkin less than 20 minutes. Then we took a super mencekik darah taxi to Tune Hotel, Danga Bay. All the drivers refused to use the meter. Memang hangin. Ni lah kalau Malaysian; ambil kesempatan sepanjang masa. Hisap darah sampai kering! Tiba2 emo sebab geram.
Checked-in. Siap itu ini & off we went out for dinner at 7 Spice. Located less than 100 metres from the hotel...superwalkertapaki ke sini. Lapar gila.
Opted for an Indian dishes for dinner. It was on Bunda. Wooot!! Malam tidur awal. Perlu cas tenaga for tomorrow's activity. Sempat lagi tawaf the city of Johor Bahru as our flight will be at 1800.
Entered the well developed & super clean country on the 23rd...and left the next day. Bila lagi akan kembali...insya Allah.
